Access to super benefits.

Temporary residents who have permanently departed Australia can access their super benefits rather than leaving them in an Australian fund until preservation age. The legislation only applies to people who hold or have held a temporary visa. It does not apply to Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have the option of returning to Australia to retire.
